SOWITEC Group has sold 100% of the shares in the 21 MW Hohfleck wind park project to Stadtwerke Tübingen (swt).
SOWITEC will continue to coordinate the construction and hand over the wind park to swt's subsidiary, Ecowerk, on a turnkey basis. Hohfleck, which is set to begin construction in 2023, is expected to produce enough electricity to supply over 10,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by over 25,500 tons per year. It will be built with five wind turbines of the type Vestas V126-3.6 MW, with a total height of 200 m, in the forest area between Sonnenbühl-Undingen and Engstingen.
As part of its commitment to encouraging community participation, swt plans to offer citizens an opportunity to participate in the Hohfleck wind park project. Details of the concrete offer will be announced after the completion of the project.
