Iberdrola Deutschland and SHS-Stahl Holding Saar GmbH & Co. KGaA have announced a 15-year power supply agreement (PPA) which will enable SHS to cover its annual consumption of 200 GWh with around 50 MW of energy sourced from the 476 MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind project in Germany.
The Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm is the second of three major Iberdrola projects in Germany. The project will be commissioned at the end of 2024 and can provide green energy to around 475,000 private households while saving 800,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
Iberdrola Deutschland and SHS are committed to adopting renewable energy and technology to provide sustainable solutions in the energy sector, which will support Germany's energy transition goals.
