Encavis Asset Management AG has connected two solar projects with a combined generation capacity of 45 MW to the power grid in Germany. The 22 MW Saturn solar park was constructed around a pre-existing wind power plant. Meanwhile, the 23 MW Dagon solar park is comprised of 9 individual sites and sits alongside Federal Highway 60.

These acquisitions are expected to contribute to the Encavis Infrastructure Fund II (EIF II), which is an Alternative Investment Fund for credit institutions, particularly savings banks and cooperative banks. Encavis Asset Management AG is responsible for the structuring of the projects and oversees commercial management, energy management, accounting, as well as the controlling of both solar parks.

The two ground-mounted photovoltaic plants will generate green electricity for a total of around 17,000 households and contribute to a yearly reduction of about 17,000 tonnes of harmful CO2 emissions. These latest developments represent a significant milestone for Encavis Asset Management AG as it continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio across Germany.
