Swiss-based MET Group is set to acquire a 68.5% stake in the Belgium-based energy and telecom supplier Mega Group International.
The closing is expected to take place in Q2 2025. Under the agreement with MET Group, the 31.5% minority stake in Mega will remain with the founders and current co-CEOs. Mega Group International is an energy and telecom retailer focusing mostly on household customers in Belgium and the Netherlands, supplying gas and electricity as well as telecom services. The Liège-headquartered company was founded in 2013. Today, with a portfolio size of over 500,000 customers, Mega ranks among the top 5 energy suppliers in Belgium.
