Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has announced that all 62 foundations required for the 600 MW Changfang & Xidao Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan have been successfully shipped by Century Offshore Wind Co. and the installation of all underwater foundations has been completed by BOWEI Marine Engineering Co.
The wind farm is expected to generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 650,000 Taiwanese households, significantly contributing to the country's efforts to increase the use of renewable energy sources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The installation of the foundations marks an important step towards the completion of the project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
The Changfang & Xidao project is a joint venture between Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and two Taiwanese companies.
