Zenobē and Public Power Solutions (PPS), Swindon Borough Council’s subsidiary, have secured the financial close for its proposed 12 MW battery energy storage project that will be located at the Waterside Innovation Hub in Swindon Borough in the UK.

The installation on a brownfield site will include 8 new double-headed electric vehicle charging points, a 2.5 MW solar photovoltaic farm at the nearby Barnfield landfill site and a solar canopy. The project will be located near Swindon’s Waste Recycling Centre.

The battery energy storage system facility is expected to be operational by 2023.
