Zenobe Energy Ltd has completed financial close and started development on its 50 MW/100 MWh battery project in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire. This will be Scotland's first and largest battery to link directly to the transmission system.
Zenobe is collaborating with Centrica, which will offer the route to market, Fluence Energy Inc, which will provide the battery energy storage system, and H&MV, which will be the lead designer and contractor. The funding partner is Santander UK.
