EDF Renewables UK has commenced the site preparation and has started the construction phase of two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, with a combined capacity of 100 MW, located in England and Wales, UK.
The 49.9 MW Burwell solar PV project is located in South East Cambridgeshire, East of England, while the 49.9 MW Porth Wen solar PV project is on the Anglesey island, off the northwestern coast of Wales. Both projects are expected to be operational before the end of 2022.
Both projects are expected to generate enough energy to power 9,500 homes annually.
