Final close of EUR1.5 bn for Infracapital Greenfield II Fund

Infracapital has announced the final close of its latest fund, Infracapital Greenfield Partners II. The fund aims to support businesses that generate environmental and social impact with a focus on decarbonization across a variety of sectors in Europe.

The final close was held at EUR1.5 billion (US$1.7 billion), exceeding its target size of EUR1.35 billion (US$1.54 billion). The fund has attracted a high level of interest from existing investors representing three-quarters of total raised commitments, in addition to capital from new investors across the UK, Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East. Already more than 50% of capital commitments have been allocated across the following companies:

  • EnergyNest, a global market leader in industrial thermal battery solutions;
  • Fibrus, a Northern Irish fibre broadband network owner and operator;
  • Zenobe, a leading player in the energy storage, network support and electric vehicles market;
  • Spectrum, an owner and operator of fibre broadband networks in South Wales; 
  • A partnership with Enel X / Endesa delivering electric buses in Southern Europe.
