Endesa has commissioned six solar photovoltaic projects for self-consumption, catering to the energy needs of the Aquinas Group in Tábua, Carregal do Sal, and Nelas, located in the central region of Portugal. The construction of these plants began in December 2022 and was completed within a span of five months.
With the installation of 7,296 photovoltaic solar panels, these plants will generate approximately 4.4 GWh/year of clean energy. The energy output from solar farms is equivalent to the annual consumption of 1,336 families. Moreover, this initiative will significantly contribute to environmental sustainability by preventing the emission of 1,133 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
To accomplish this project, Endesa has formed a strategic commercial partnership with Río Energía and EnergyCon, leveraging their expertise and resources.
