NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd (NESF) has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Statkraft for the purchase of energy from the 210 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Santarem, Portugal over an eight-year contract.

The deal builds on an existing relationship between NextEnergy and Statkraft, through a prior supply deal for a separate 50MW venture in Spain (via 25% owned Agenor).

NextPower III ESG is an US$896mn private solar fund focused on utility-scale solar assets in OECD markets, which provided NESF the opportunity to efficiently and quickly access an established portfolio of operational and in-construction international solar assets.
