Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has announced its plans to construct the 2 GW Nortada Offshore Wind Project in Figueira da Foz Portugal. This project is estimated to require an investment of approximately EUR8 billion (US$8.5 billion).
Nortada will be the first large-scale offshore development in Portugal, and Abreu Advogados' Energy and Natural Resources team has been instrumental in providing assistance to CIP in the areas of marine spatial planning, power sector regulation, environmental impact assessment, economic operations licensing, social and scientific cooperation framework, corporate and tax matters.
CIP is an infrastructure fund management company based in Denmark.
Sonnedix has announced its acquisition of a 262 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio consisting of seven ground-mounted solar farms built across Portugal. The portfolio is now under construction or in the final stages of development.
