NextEnergy Solar, NextPower co-invest in 210 MW solar project in Santarem

NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd has agreed on a second co-investment with NextPower III ESG for a 13% stake in a 210 MW solar PV project being constructed in Santarem, Portugal.

The investment is for EUR22.5 million (US$23.77 million). Energisation of the PV project is scheduled to take place in the second quarter of 2023.  Once in operation, the 210 MW project is on-track to benefit from a long-term power purchase agreement for the sale of electricity.

NextEnergy will fund the co-investment through its revolving credit facilities.
