Eiffage Energía has started the construction of the 40 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Pinhal Novo, Portugal on behalf of NextPower III ESG (NPIII ESG), a private solar fund managed by NextEnergy Capital (NEC).
Eiffage Energa has started the execution phase by breaking ground, erecting fencing, digging trenches, clearing the land, and laying underground cables.
When completed, the Palmela project, which will have five 6.5 MVA power transformer centers and 74,124 PV modules, will be able to supply more than 22,000 people with clean electricity while preventing over 28,500 tonnes of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere.
