RWE starts the construction of 44 MWp solar PV project in Sines

RWE Renewables has started the construction of the 44 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) park located in the municipality of Sines, Portugal.

The project will consist of more than 91,000 bifacial high-performance modules that will be installed on about 100 ha of land. The solar farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power about 42,000 Portuguese homes.

Omexom Portugal has been assigned to carry out the construction works on the solar project, while Construcao e Manutencao Eletromecanica (CME) is in charge of the substation and grid connection works. The project is scheduled to be operational in 2023.
