NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd (NESF), managed by NextEnergy Capital Group, has been awarded a subsidized solar contract through UK's fourth Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round (AR4) for its two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.
The projects are the 36 MW Whitecross and the 50 MW Hatherden solar PV facilities that will be constructed in Lincolnshire and Hampshire, respectively. The 15-years contracted CfDs are index linked to inflation (CPI) annually and are scheduled to commence on March 31, 2025, at the AR4 solar PV strike price of GBP45.99/MWh (US$55.92/MWh).
Whitecross solar PV is currently under construction and is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2023. Grid connection and construction mobilization works are underway for the Hatherden solar farm which is anticipated to be energized in the first half of 2023.
