Gransolar has started the construction of KGAL's 82 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Penamacor, in the Castelo Branco region of Portugal.
The solar plant will be constructed on a sloping area and subdivided into plots in accordance with environmental requirements to preserve the site's biodiversity. It will be connected to the Public Service Electricity Grid by a more than 24 km long 220 kV line.
It is anticipated that the project will become operational in 2024. Gransolar will oversee the operation and maintenance of the facility for a minimum of two years.
