X-ELIO has connected to the grid the 58 MW solar PV plant La Cruz in the commune of María Elena, located in northern Chile.
The project's energization will enable it to supply 20,000 homes in this Chilean region, allowing savings of 70,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. For the commissioning of the PV plant, X-ELIO has made an investment of USD40 million. The company has had the support of leading financial institutions, such as DNB for project financing.
