Statkraft has selected the Nordex Group (Nordex) as a provider of wind turbines for its 110 MW onshore wind project in Chile.
The order includes 19 N163/5.X turbines as well as a Premium Service contract covering three years. The Delta4000 turbines will be supplied to the 110 MW Torsa wind farm located in the municipality of Litueche in the General Liberator Bernardo O’Higgins region to the south of Santiago de Chile.
Nordex will supply the turbines in spring 2022 on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 148 meters. Once operational, the wind farm will supply around 300 GWh of electricity into the Chilean grid, equivalent to the average energy use in 100,000 households.
Enel Green Power has signed a contract with Nexans for the supply of electrical cables for the interconnection of the solar panels of the Finis Terrae Extension photovoltaic project.
