The Norwegian government has unveiled Ventyr Energi, a consortium of Parkwind and Ingka Investments, as the winner of the auction round for the 3 GW Sørlige Nordsjø II (Southern North Sea II) offshore wind project in Norway.
The Norwegian government officially opened the application window for Norway’s first offshore wind auction on March 29, 2023.
The winning bid in the auction was NOK 1.15 (US$0.107) per kilowatt hour. A contract for difference between the state and the consortium must be signed within four weeks. The terms of the contract for difference will govern how state aid is distributed.
The winning consortium will be responsible for carrying out a project-specific impact assessment, and for applying for a license under the Ocean Energy Act.
