Vestas has been awarded a turbine supply contract by Prime Capital AG for its 50 MW Lappfjärd Extension wind project located in Kristinestad, Finland.
The order includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of eight V162-6.2 MW turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement designed to ensure the optimized performance of the asset. This order is an extension of the Lappfjärd project, which was completed in the fourth quarter of 2022 and features 31 wind turbines of the same type, marking the first time Vestas deployed the V162-6.2 MW variant.
The delivery and installation of the wind turbines are expected to begin in Q3 2023 with commissioning scheduled for Q4 2023.
