Vattenfall AB, a Swedish utility, has announced the installation of the first of 50 Nordex Delta N133 turbines at the 240 MW South Kyle onshore wind project in East Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, UK.

The South Kyle wind farm is estimated to provide enough electricity to around 170,000 UK homes. It will also provide a local community fund worth around GBP38 million (US$45.9 million) over a 25-year period.

The wind farm is expected to be completed in early 2023, with turbine transportation already under way. The project is planned to be fully operational in summer 2023.
