Tender launched for 7.5 MW solar plant in Lusaka province

Zesco has kicked off the first stage of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender for a 7.5 MW (AC) on-grid solar Photo Voltaic (PV) plant to be located at Kasupe in Lusaka province, Zambia.

ZESCO Limited, a government-owned power utility serving Zambia and the Sub-Saharan region, possesses 35 hectares of vacant land in Kasupe. This land is earmarked for the development of renewable energy projects. Kasupe is situated in the western part of the Lusaka district, approximately 20 km from the Lusaka Central Business District. Interested parties are required to submit the following:

  1. A comprehensive company profile detailing the firm's experience in executing projects of a similar nature and scale outlined in this expression of interest within the past 10 years.
  2. The applicant must showcase a minimum Tangible Net Worth of USD 15 million for each of the three most recently concluded fiscal years, as evidenced by the audited accounts of the applicant.

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is February 16, 2024.
