SUSI Partners, in partnership with SMT Energy, has acquired a 100 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio located in South Texas, USA.
The portfolio consists of ten 10-MW projects that are ready to be constructed. The assets are anticipated to begin commercial operation in the first half of 2023 and will reduce pressure on regional power networks by balancing supply and demand imbalances.
SMT Energy will continue to handle the operational and construction phases.
