FlexGenPower Systems, Inc. has signed contracts with SMT Energy to provide energy storage systems and HybridOSTM software for the 100 MW energy storage portfolio that will be constructed in Texas, USA.
The 10 storage systems rated with 10 MW and 9.95 MWh individual capacities will feature FlexGen's liquid-cooled energy storage technology for optimum flexibility. These energy storage facilities will be operated by SMT Energy.
The energy storage portfolio will be commissioned in stages in mid-2023. The projects are expected to increase the ERCOT grid's resilience, enabling the incorporation of intermittent renewable energy, and enhance the grid's ability to balance regional demand and supply.
