Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to Semco Maritime and PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C) consortium for a 500 MW offshore substation in the Feng Miao offshore wind farm project in Taiwan.
The Feng Miao wind farm is positioned approximately 36 km off the west coast of Taichung City in Taiwan. It has received approval for a 500 MW grid capacity from Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and is scheduled for commissioning by 2027. The offshore substation structures for Feng Miao will be manufactured at PTSC M&C’s facility in Vietnam. Semco Maritime will be responsible for the design, procurement, and installation of high and medium voltage, SCADA, and auxiliary systems, with support from the primary subcontractor ISC Consulting Engineers. The contract, whose value remains undisclosed, will be carried out between 2023 and 2026.
