Norway's Statkraft has commissioned Norwegian floating solar technology developer Ocean Sun for the development of its 2 MW floating solar photovoltaic project in Banja reservoir in southeastern Albania.
The EUR2.3 million (US$2.6 million) project consists of four floating units of 0.5 MW each. The project has secured a feed-in-tariff allocation from the government.
The construction of the project is expected to be conducted within 2019-2020.
