SolarDuck was selected as the exclusive provider for 5 MW offshore floating solar (OFS) technology with integrated energy storage in RWE's bid for the Hollandse Kust West VII (HKW VII) offshore wind project in the Netherlands. The collaboration agreement between SolarDuck and RWE was signed in July of this year.

The hybrid floating solar photovoltaic (PV) plant is due to become operational in 2026.

The 700 MW HKW VII wind farm is located approximately 28.6 nautical miles (53 kilometers) off the west coast of the Netherlands.
