Smart Solar Co., Ltd has announced the start of construction work at Hirono Solar Park located in Fukushima, Japan.
The 2.7 MW photovoltaic project is comprised of 9,372 solar modules and is expected to generate some 3,290 MWh of electricity per year, enough to meet the demand of about 600 local households.
The operating company of the facility is a joint venture between JP Mega Solar Power Plant, Smart Solar and Nippon Asia Investment Co., Ltd. Smart Solar also serves as the operation and maintenance provider.
