SK Ecoplant has announced its plans purchase a stake in a 2 GW offshore wind project portfolio in South Korea, joining TotalEnergies SE and Corio Generation in its development.
The portfolio consists of the 1.5 GW Gray Whale floating wind project and four floating and fixed-bottom wind farms located off the coasts of Ulsan and South Jeolla province.
The projects are anticipated to begin in phases as early as 2024, with commercial operations commencing in 2027.
