SK D&D Co Ltd has selected Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA to supply turbines for the 75 MW Gunwi onshore wind farm project, which is set to become the third-largest wind farm in South Korea.
The project will be constructed in Gunwi-gun, Kyongsangbuk-do province and will have up to 15 SG 5.0-145 model turbines. Once operational, it is expected to generate enough power for up to 64,000 local homes.
The deal with Siemens also includes a 20-year operation and maintenance services agreement.
