Korea South-East Power Co. has started the commercial operation of its 150 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Sinan-gun in the South Jeolla province.
The project consists of about 280,000 solar modules with power outputs of 530 W to 550 W supplied by a manufacturer Topsun Co. Ltd., and 1 MW and 2 MW inverters supplied by undisclosed manufacturers.
KOSEP has invested KRW280 billion (US$233.65 million) in the project. The 4% of the total fund invested was provided via crowdfunding among local residents.
The project is expected to generate around 209.7 GWh of electricity annually.
