Greenalia SA has entered into an agreement with Siemens Gamesa for the supply of 22 SG 5.0-145 turbines for three onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 110 MW in A Coruña, Spain.
The Campelo, Bustelo and Monte Toural wind projects, located in the municipalities of Coristanco, Santa Comba and Carballo, respectively, are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2023. The contract with Siemens includes maintenance of the equipment for a period of 25 years.
Once operational, the projects will supply enough clean energy to power around 90,000 households and avoid about 300,000 tonnes of carbon emission per year.
