Enel Green Power Espana, the renewable division of Endesa, has started the commercial operation of its 180 MW Tico onshore wind project located in Villar de los Navarros, Aragon region in Spain.
With a total investment of EUR181 million (US$221.28 million), the wind project is officially connected to the grid and has a 10-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Novartis AG for the 78.5 MW portion of the output. In addition, Endesa has organized specialized training courses about the maintenance and operation of solar plants.
The wind project construction began in May 2021 and involved 330 workers during its peak period.
