Shell has announced the work collaboration with Inaccess to develop a 50 MW PV solar and 50 MW onshore wind hybrid project in the Netherlands.

The 100 MW PV+wind asset has a complementary nature since there is plenty of solar energy during the day and in the summer months, and wind during the winter months. The hybrid project helps to stabilize energy production and maximize grid connection usage.

Shell will use Inaccess’ Unity monitoring system to control and monitor this 100 MW hybrid asset. The system offers fine-tune control and increase energy production by spotting cases of underperformance while lowering imbalance costs. It is commonly used for solar and wind parks, battery systems, and microgrids.
