Second closing for Taaleri SolarWind 3 Fund at USD 474 million

Taaleri Energia has held a second closing for its sixth renewable energy fund "Taaleri SolarWind 3 Fund" with EUR430 million (USD 474 million) in commitments.

The fund aims to reach a size of EUR 600 million (USD 661.5 million), with a maximum limit set at EUR 900 million (USD 992 million). Key investors in the fund include the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Fund, KBC Verzekeringen (in collaboration with EIF), Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Taaleri, and the Taaleri Energia team. The fund's investment strategy focuses on acquiring, developing, contracting, constructing, operating, and divesting a portfolio comprising utility-scale onshore wind farms, PV solar parks, and battery energy storage assets. The primary target markets for the fund are the Nordics & Baltics (approximately 50%), Poland & Southeast Europe (around 25%), Spain (roughly 15%), and Texas (about 10%). In its initial phase, the fund was initiated with a collection of 50 renewable energy development projects, meticulously assembled by the Taaleri Energia team over the 18 months leading up to its first close.
