Saitec has announced plans to develop a 50 MW pre-commercial pilot floating offshore wind project in the Mediterranean Sea about 15 km from the Cap de Creus peninsula in Spain.
The Medfloat Pilot Parc wind farm will feature 5 offshore wind turbines that will be mounted on Saitec’s SATH floating platforms. Saitec has submitted its Initial Project Document for assessment to the Spanish authorities.
The wind farm seeks to provide a testing infrastructure in the Levantino-Balearic Demarcation to demonstrate and validate the SATH technology.
