RWE has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with Parkwind for its 219 MW Northwester 2 offshore wind project located in Vlaanderen region, Belgium.
The Northwester 2 wind farm will consist out of 23 turbines with approximately 219 megawatts in combined capacity. They will produce approximately 800 gigawatt hours of renewable electricity per year on average. The first wind turbines are scheduled to be commissioned at the end of this year.
Commissioning of the entire Northwester 2 wind farm is targeted for early 2020.
