PAD RES, a leading Polish developer in the clean energy sector, has signed a financing agreement with the Polish Development Fund (PFR) for a total amount of PLN 240 million (US$58.36 million) for the development of a 117 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Poland.
The financing obtained from PFR will be used for two new PAD RES investments in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, near the towns of Sztum and Mikołajki Pomorskie. The area of the planned photovoltaic farms is approximately 140 hectares which will provide clean energy to as many as 65,000 Polish households domestic.
The general contractor for both investments is Electrum, a climate tech technology and consulting group. PAD RES and Electrum have previously collaborated on the construction of the 35 MW Genowefa photovoltaic farm located in Kleczew, in central Poland
