OX2 commissions 45 MW Korkeakangas wind project in Karstula

OX2 AB has started the commercial operation of the 45 MW Korkeakangas wind farm project located in Karstula, central Finland.

Aquila Capital, the owner of the project, has contracted OX2 to deliver the engineering, construction, and procurement (EPC) services on the wind farm. The project consists of nine N149 4.8 MW installed on turbine foundations built by a local company Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne Oy (KSBR). Fingrid Oyj has connected the wind farm to the grid.

Statkraft AS has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Aquila Capital for the energy that will be produced from the plant.
