Ørsted, together with PS Renewables plan to develop the 740 MW One Earth solar farm in Nottinghamshire near the border of Lincolnshire, UK.
The solar farm's renewable electricity can be channeled through various avenues, including contracts for difference and corporate power purchase agreements. This project aligns with Ørsted's global goal of reaching 17.5 GW of onshore capacity by 2030.
Currently, Ørsted has over 5.7 GW of onshore renewable projects in various stages of operation, construction, or consent across the USA and Europe. Ørsted's participation in the One Earth project is part of its broader investment in onshore renewable energy in the UK and Ireland. The commercial operation of the One Earth Solar Farm is expected before 2030.
