Orsted and PS Renewables have presented updated proposals for a 740 MW One Earth Solar Farm in central England.
The One Earth Solar Farm, along with its accompanying battery storage and infrastructure, is being proposed by the developer partnership. The project's primary location is in Nottinghamshire, and its connection to the National Grid would be through the High Marnham substation. Once operational it will produce sufficient clean, sustainable electricity to supply approximately 200,000 households.
Although still in the early stages of development, the project has undergone the first round of consultation in Autumn 2023. The feedback received from this consultation, along with ongoing environmental and technical assessments, has influenced the updated proposals. These revised proposals will now be subject to a second round of statutory consultation, taking place from 29 May to 9 July 2024.
