Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP) has extended the deadline for the submission of tender proposals for Manah I and Manah II solar photovoltaic projects until May 25, 2021.
Each of the projects will have a capacity of 500 MW to 600 MW and will be awarded to a separate developer. The solar farms will be built, owned, and operated by the private sector and the scope of the projects includes financing, procurement, engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance.
In December 2019, OPWP has prequalified nine consortia to participate in the tender process. The nine consortia are:
