OPWP launches RFP for the second phase of Manah I and Manh II Solar IPP

The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP), a member of Nama Group, has launched tender for the development of the second phase of the Manah I and Manh II Solar IPP projects, part of the renewables program of OPWP. 

The projects involve the generating capacities of 500-600 MW and will be located in the region of Ad Dakhiliyah, in northeastern Oman. 

In December 2019, OPWP announced the 14 submissions as pre-qualified applicants for the tender process. These submissions are from the consortium of companies coming from Oman, France, Japan, Portugal, Republic of Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. 

The submission of bids is until December 7, 2020. 

Synergy Consulting (financial), DLA Piper (legal), and Fichtner (technical) acted as advisors to OPWP.
