Omega Energia has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with 3M through its local subsidiary in Brazil.
The 10-year PPA will commence in 2023 and aims to decarbonize the operation of 3M by as much as 32,100 tonnes of carbon emission throughout the contract. 3M has three operating plants in the state of Sao Paulo which make up the 3M do Brasil, and has a local unit in Amazonas, the 3M Manaus.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
