Goldman Sachs to invest in 531 MW wind project in Texas

Sachs Group Inc. has entered into a binding equity capital contribution agreement for a tax equity investment of up to US$200 million in the first phase of Omega Energia SA's 531 MW Goodnight wind project in Texas, USA.

MUFG Bank Ltd, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Cooperative Rabobank UA have committed to provide US$40 million in project finance concurrently with this transaction. The agreement also includes a bridging loan and a letter of credit to cover six months of project financing debt payments.

The entire Goodnight wind complex is anticipated to be completed in 2023.
