Oizumi Corporation has completed the development of a 20-MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Tochigi, a Japanese prefecture north of Tokyo.
The Kanagawa Power Tochigi Photovoltaic (PV) power plant comprises a total of 77,000 PV modules. It is expected to produce an annual output of approximately 23.42 million kWh per year.
The total project investment is estimated at JPY5.7 billion (US$46.3 million).
The solar plant will sell the energy to Japan's Tokyo Electric Power Co under a power purchase agreement (PPA). Panasonic Environmental Engineering has managed the design and construction of the solar plant.
Tochigi is a prefecture located in the Kantō region on the island of Honshu, Japan. The capital is the city of Utsunomiya.
