Japan Asia Investment and Renewable Japan have plans to install 11.3 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity at central Honshu’s Pacific coast, Japan.
Located in the Shizuoka prefecture’s city of Izunokuni, the solar plant will have capacity to generate approximately 13.24 GWh of electricity annually. The plant's output will be sell under a power purchase agreement (PPA) to local utility Tokyo Electric Power.
The total project investment is estimated at JPY4 billion (USD 33.1 million).
The project is currently under development, construction works began on 21 October. The new facility is expected to be operational by June 2017.
