Japan Asia Group announces 17 MW solar park

Japan Asia Group, a Tokyo-based green infrastructure company, has announced plans to develop a 17-MW solar park in Tochigi prefecture, Tokyo (Japan).

The solar farm will be developed on a 203,000 m² area. Kyocera Corp will supply the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels for the project.The solar farm is expected to be operational by March 2017.

Tokyo Electric Power Co Inc will purchase the energy generated by the solar facility under a power purchase agreement (PPA)

Tochigi Prefecture is a prefecture located in the Kantō region on the island of Honshu, Japan. It has a population of approximatelly 2 million inhabitants.
