Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc has entered into an agreement with renewable energy projects developer OX2 for the acquisition of the 48 Ljungbyholm Wind Farm in Sweden.
The construction-ready onshore wind farm project will be acquired for a total investment of EUR68m (US$77 million). It will be developed in the Kalmar municipality in South Sweden. The wind farm, consisting of 12 turbines, is expected to have an operating life of 30 years. The construction is expected to be completed without debt finance at the project level.
The project is expected to be operational by 2021.
